China Jamming RFA

China is jamming the RFA Mandarin svc from Tinian, not with noise jamming but with Chinese domestic radio broadcasts co-channel. By using domestic prgm content instead of noise, the Chinese govt can make the legal claim that they are asserting their right to broadcast domestically on SW.

Radio Free Asia (RFA) is an overt surrogate broadcast outlet funded by the U.S. Government and supervised by the bipartisan Broadcasting Board of Governors. The station was launched in 1996 and broadcasts in Mandarin Chinese, Tibetan, English, Viet, Burmese, Cambodian, and Uyghur.
