Netsanet Le-Ethiopia, a U.S. based political opposition group. The station, according to reports, was initially financed by Kassa Kebede, former senior minister under the Mengistu regime, and former president Mengistu Haile Mariam. Kebede was a central figure within the pro-Soviet government who initiated covert ties with Israel and helped to make "Operation Solomon," the evacuation of 20,000 Falashas from Ethiopia in 1989, possible.
