Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA), which was the U.S. civilian-led organization that governed Iraq during the initial consolidation phase of the military intervention. The Iraqi Media Network (IMN) was established by defense contractor Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and consisted of al-Iraqiya TV network, Al-Sabah newspaper and a national network of radio stations. In January 2004 the contract to run IMN was handed to Harris Communications.
